A new federal rule now requires water systems like Cuyahoga Falls to put their service line material inventory on their website, where water customers can enter their address to see what material is identified based on our records. This map represents the current inventory as of October 15, 2024.
Those with lead service lines and unknown service lines or galvanized service lines downstream of lead service lines will receive notifications annually until the services are replaced.
Per the EPA, non-copper lines must be replaced within the next 10 years. The City of Cuyahoga Falls is working on an equitable replacement program. We will notify you when a replacement program is in place.
The inventory of service lines submitted to the EPA by the Cuyahoga Falls Water System by the October 16, 2024, deadline did not include a required column which detailed if any non-lead service was ever previously lead. This error was corrected, and an updated inventory was submitted and approved. This notice is a required public notice by the EPA.
