Mayor Don Walters is pleased to announce Party on the Block in partnership with Summit DD and Cuyahoga Falls Parks and Recreation on Saturday, July 23, from 4 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. The event will celebrate the opening of Summit DD's new location in Downtown Cuyahoga Falls. 

Party on the Block will be held at the Summit DD building between Front and Second streets at Oakwood Drive. The free, family-friendly event is open to all and will include entertainment, games, a petting zoo, concessions, face painting, inflatables, and more. Additionally,

Summit DD will offer tours of the new facility. A sensory bus will be available for use during the event. 

"We are proud to welcome Summit DD to Downtown Cuyahoga Falls and to celebrate their new state-of-the-art facility with Party on the Block," stated Mayor Don Walters. "The services they provide are vital to our community, and we look forward to our continued partnership."

"We want to thank the City of Cuyahoga Falls for such a warm welcome," expressed Summit DD Superintendent Lisa Kamlowsky. "Cuyahoga Falls has always embraced our vision of a community where everyone can feel included. We are excited about the new possibilities ahead as we get to know our new neighbors and make Cuyahoga Falls home."

Parking Restrictions and Road Closures

There will be no parking on Second Street between Oakwood Drive and Wadsworth Avenue beginning at 10 a.m. on Saturday, July 23. Second Street between Oakwood Drive and Wadsworth Avenue will be closed to traffic from 2 p.m. through 7 p.m.
