Sustainability Stewards will show their commitment to the installation & maintenance of native pollinator spaces. Through these volunteer events, attendees will learn about various topics, including the importance of native pollinators, plant care, stormwater management, biodiversity, and more. It is through volunteer programs like this that the City's goal of being good stewards of our natural resources can continue successfully.

Groups in need of service or volunteer hours should reach out directly to the Public Utilities and Community Outreach Coordinator, Bryce Pulley, at bpulley@cityofcf.com to schedule opportunities.

River-City Cleanup Series

  • May 17th @ Downtown Cuyahoga Falls as part of the NEO Outdoor Fest

  • June 28th @ Water Works Park (9-11 am)

The River-City Cleanup Series is an opportunity for residents and businesses to come together and remove trash from one of our most valuable resources, the Cuyahoga River.

It is part of the city's ongoing efforts to improve water quality, promote environmental sustainability, enhance the recreational opportunities available to residents and visitors, and provide environmental education. Environmental educational displays from the City of Cuyahoga Falls Sanitation, Water, and NECCO Departments and our partner, Summit Soil and Water Conservation District, will be available. Providing continual environmental education is an important goal and vital to creating effective and long-term change to become a more sustainable community.

Cleanup and planting supplies will be provided for project volunteers. Volunteers should always dress for the weather and wear protective clothing for the project.
