The City of Cuyahoga Falls is hiring a Full-Time Laborer to work in the Sanitation Department.

Minimum Qualifications

Candidates must be able to frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 85 pounds. Must be able to maintain effective working relationships with other employees, supervisors and the public.

Some experience in performing heavy manual labor and a High School diploma or GED equivalent is required. 

Must possess a valid State of Ohio driver’s license and ability to maintain continuing eligibility under the City’s driver eligibility standards. Applicant also must possess a Class A CDL. If hired without having a CDL, the applicant is required to obtain one within the probationary period of 180 days.

The City of Cuyahoga Falls will provide hired applicants without a CDL the opportunity to obtain their CDL at Stark State College, pursuant to the terms and conditions outlined in the following document.
 
Must be able to safely drive/operate all of the trucks and equipment in the Sanitation Department and comply with all safety and sanitation standards.

Additional Information

Starting pay is $16.83 per hour. After 5 successful years in the position, the pay rate is $19.85 per hour. This position has great potential for advancement at the City of Cuyahoga Falls.
